A position is available in the Southern Division for a Coordinator in the Utility Operations, Southern Division , reporting to the Manager of Southern. Three to five years’ experience in utility field operations and administrative skills including the Microsoft platform (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access) and company databases (SAP, Prophecy, Basis, cross connections software and more). Coordinates the activities of up to 13 fellow employees. Strong communications skills, both written and verbal are required.

 

Responsibilities of the position include:

 

  • Coordinates the activities of Utility Operations, Service and Meter Reading personnel; assigns and dispatches both emergency and scheduled work.
  • Responsible for creating invoices, processing vendor and contractor invoices and other related duties.
  • Prepares all purchase requisitions for jobbings such as hydrant installations, service replacements, emergency repairs and other jobbing activities in coordination with service department.
  • Responsible for Resource Related Billing of the department and will support other areas on an as needed basis.
  • Responsible for scheduling and coordinating "Call Before You Dig" mark-outs for the Southern Division, including both scheduled and emergency line locates.
  • Reviews and troubleshoots service orders routed through the field service technicians’ wireless notebook system and enters them into the customer computer database. Tracks all reported leaks; generates work orders, coordinates the fix, and tracks and terminates service.
  • Assists in researching and answering technical questions from customers and Customer Service Representatives. Will correspond with customers as needed.
  • Creates, delivers, monitors, follows up and bills contractors for hydrant permits.
  • Responsible for procuring, tracking and issuing inventory including office supplies.
  • Imports, exports, upload and download meter reading rounds when required.
  • Sends and tracks all customer letters (leak letters, non-compliance letters, PT Letters).
  • Administrative responsibility for all distribution, meter reading, and service employees’ time (time sheet, sick and vacation schedules, etc.); approves time sheets for an estimated 13 employees.
  • Will assist the manager with all utility operations related work, including support for main breaks, service leaks, engineering projects, and other work as assigned.

 

Job is classified as an exempt position with an annual salary range of 68,240 to $102,360 . An appropriate pay level will be determined for the successful applicant by using the midpoint $83,000 as the target for a seasoned employee in the position.
