Job Summary
We are looking for a dynamic Systems Engineer to join Aquarion Water Company. You will be a part of our highly skilled technical team, responsible for the implementation, operations and management of complex enterprise systems, integrating a variety of platforms, operating systems, and applications at Aquarion.

Principal Responsibilities
- Operate complex and diverse technology systems running on Microsoft Operating Systems. Participate and recommend design alternatives.
- Perform server patch management ensuring servers are up-to-date with the latest security patches and updates to maintain security, stability, and performance.
- Operate and maintain monitoring solution, focusing on infrastructure management, application and network performance. Create dashboards, alerts, and reports, and integrate with other IT tools.
- Provide high level technical support by analyzing hardware and/or software data, identifying the root cause of the problem and developing/implementing hardware and/or software solutions.
- Support Infrastructure Engineers by performing maintenance duties across VMWare Virtualization, Storage Environments, Data Center Operations and Microsoft Office Operating Systems.
- Develop and maintain systems documentation, including diagrams, Standard Operating Procedures and work instructions.
- Assist in the development, testing and support of the Disaster Recovery Plan.
- Perform after hours support duties, on rotation, to sustain 220 plus node wide area network networking systems and service levels.
- Manage infrastructure projects as assigned.
Preferred Requirements
- 3-5 years with practical experience in Microsoft Windows Servers, Active Directory, Patch Management, Server & Storage
- Windows Server, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Entra Active Directory, Group Policy, VMWare, Servers & Storage Area Networks and Backup technologies experience.
- Networking including network architecture and Cisco routing experience
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work well in a cross-functional team environment
- Manage complex problem assessments and establish critical repair priorities.
- Clearly communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Work well under pressure and quickly identify solutions to outages.
Education/Certifications
- Bachelors degree in computer science or related field
- Certifications a plus: Microsoft, VMWare, ITIL, etc.
Salary
• Job is classified as an exempt position with an annual salary range of $80,240 - $100,300.
• After 3 months of successful employment, this role will be eligible for a hybrid schedule (3 days office/2 days remote).
