Job Summary

The Accounting Department at Aquarion Water Company is looking for an Intern!

Principal Responsibilities

  • Perform various clerical and administrative duties for the fiscal department.
  • Assist accountants, AP clerks, and business analyst in preparation of reports or schedules needed for month-end, and quarterly closes.
  • Enter accounts payable invoices, scan and attach journal entries in SAP.
  • Collect information, pull records, prepare documents for audit and various other administrative duties as assigned.
  • Perform ad hoc projects as needed.

Education/Certifications

  • Undergraduate student seeking an Accounting or Finance Degree or relevant fields.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, and financial software applications.
  • Outstanding presentation, reporting, and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Driven and enthusiasm for work.

Salary

  • This position will run from June through the end of August. 
  • Interns will report to our office in Bridgeport (600 Lindley St).
  • Full-time (30-40 hours) is preferred. 
  • Interns will be expect to work from 8AM-4:30PM, Monday through Friday.
  • The role will pay $16 an hour.
